Description

*SOLD* Heuer Carrera Chronograph Vintage / RARE Ref 3648 T. 36mm Gold capped. Collectors Set. 1969. Valjoux

Greetings.  Thanks for looking at this watch. We are a 5-star seller with many hundreds of watches sold and delivered around the world.

Presenting an exquisite 36mm gold-capped Heuer Carrera Reference 3648 (T); a masterpiece of elegance and craftsmanship from a very early Heuer.

This highly rare and collectable timepiece is sold with its original Heuer box and 1969 purchase receipt making this a wonderful collectors set for any discerning enthusiast of horology or the Heuer brand.

The gold-capped timepiece with stunning silver dial is in fantastic pre-owned condition as shown the photos and the watch is running well and functioning as it should. So please buy with total peace of mind.
The timepiece is on an unworn, genuine brown leather strap (not Heuer).  The lugs are 18mm if you wish to change.

The Heuer Carrera was launched in 1963, soon after the Autavia making it the second named watch in the Heuer line-up.

This highly sought-after Carrera 3648 has a simple two sub-register and elegant 36mm diameter case housing the impressive fan-favourite Valjoux 92 movement.

Heuer watches from this era embody the modernism that began in the early 1960’s with simple, well-proportioned designs that are aesthetically pleasing and functional. This was the time of Jack Heuer, who led the company into this new age by embracing contemporary design and advancements in technology.

This ethos continued beyond the 1960’s and into the quartz and digital age.

The Heuer watches from this period are his legacy and are much admired and sought after by enthusiasts from around the world.
